Phase Change Materials or PCMs are substances that ingest and discharge thermal energy amid the process of softening/ melting and solidifying/ freezing. At the point of PCM solidification, it discharges a lot of energy as latent heat at a generally constant temperature. On the contrary, when such material melts, it absorbs a lot of energy from the surroundings. PCMs revive as encompassing temperatures vary, making them perfect for a variety of ordinary applications that require temperature control.
The most usually used PCM is water/ice. Ice is a fantastic PCM for 0°C temperature maintenance. However, the point of solidification for water is 0°C (32°F), ruling it out for most energy storage applications. To address that problem, PCMs have been created for use over a wide range…

Rubitherm Technologies GmbH is an expert in PCM technology and develops together with you specific product solutions - and this since 1993. Rubitherm Technologies deliver inorganic and organic PCMs in large and small quantities. We refine PCM with micro- and macroencapsulation. We characterize and guarantee PCMs with respect to their melting and freezing point, their cycling stability and of course, their heat storage capacity.
Climator Sweden AB was founded in 1979 as a Phase Change Material (PCM) R&D and production company. We have successfully developed, produced and sold our own PCM, called ClimSel all over the world ever since.
Entropy Solutions is a biobased specialty chemical company. Entropy Solutions has been producing PureTemp, the world’s first 100% renewable phase change material, since 2007. These patented PCMs, developed in three years of research sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, are used in a wide variety of temperature-control applications, from cooling vests and warming blankets to refrigerators and thermal energy storage tanks.
